Welcome to Honors Geometry in 2017! Lots of helpful information will be posted here over the next several months. For now, here's a link to the syllabus.
Last Unit Test(s) covering graphing circles and probability will be Thu 5/17

EOC Review for XY Plane Operations
Go to DeltaMath
Use class code: 325657
If you somehow still haven't done so, create an account.
The assignment is just called "XY Plane" this time.
There are several sections in this assignment, but they're only set up to require 1 or 2 correct answers before you move on.
I still recommend doing the trig assignment for review too!
OTHER EOCT TIPS!
1. It is long, but you have plenty of time to finish. Take your time!
2. Use your scratch paper, or test booklet. Solving problems in your head can result in careless errors.
3. If you're having trouble with a question, skip it and come back later.
4. Use the formula sheet!
5. Most students who fail will score between a 66 & 70. Think to yourself the whole time, "Just get 4 more points!"
6. Even when you think you've gotten "4 more", try to get another 4 more!
7. Eat breakfast and get a good night's sleep.
8. Cellphones, ipods and other electronics must stay out of sight until everyone is done. If you can finish early, you may read a book, draw or sleep.
9. Do not attempt to cheat. A zero for 20% of your grade is not pretty.
10. Have confidence!!!! Don't give up on a question after reading it just once. Read it again, and again if you have to. Don't give up!
11. If you have to guess, then eliminate as many choices as you can first.
EOC Review for Transformations
Go to DeltaMath
Use class code: 325657
Create an account using your name... If you did the Trig thing over spring break, then you already have an account. Just login!
Complete the assignment 'Transformations in the XY Plane"
You have to get 3 correct in each section to receive credit, but more importantly, this is good review for the EOC!
The last section is confusing at first, but I'm sure you'll figure it out :)
While you're at it, I highly recommend doing the trig review assignment on there too for the purpose of review!
Unit 3B Mini-Test
Study Guide Solutions
Sorry, but I didn't have time to do the segments of circles WS and get it up here. I'll answers questions before the test about it if you need me to!
Want to earn extra points on your trig (Rt Triangles) test? (Due Sun, Apr 8 at 11:59pm)
I'll give you up to half your points back depending on how well you do this assignment. Accuracy matters! This is not just for completion.
Go to DeltaMath
Use class code: 325657
Create an account using your name (so that I know who you are).
Complete the Rt Triangles Test assignment...
Just a heads up, you only have to get 4 correct in each section, but it won't let you move on to the next section until you've gotten 4 correct.
There are no word problems :(
If you've already done a retest and want to try this, or if your want to try this and retest later, I'll accept whichever helps your grade most.
This assignment will not count as one of your 3 retests.

Here's a very boring video covering the very basics of trigonometry.
A video on using trig to solve a simple problem
A video on using trig to solve word problems.
A video on simply finding trig ratios (just watch the first 5min)
Simplify Radicals (anything past about 12:30 is more than you have to know now)
Special Rt Triangles
For the Deathly Hallows project. Here's a rubric so you know how I'll grade them.
How to:
construct a perpendicular bisector
construct an angle bisector
slightly different from the way I constructed an equilateral triangle
Here's where I got those first 3 links from: lot's more constructions

Solutions to XY Plane WS from class on Thu
Triangle Similarity Clips:
On basic SSS, SAS, and AA
Triangle Congruence Clips:
4min clip on SSS & SAS
5min clip on ASA & AAS
a clip covering HL
Here's a longer clip, but it really does a good job explaining how to write a congruence statement.
And another one. Super annoying guy discusses ASA, AAS & HL.
Also it might be a good idea to watch the proof videos linked below!

Don't forget to have those 2 assignments completed too! The Logic WS from Thu, and the Transformations WS from Fri.
Video Clip on converting dms to decimal degrees... Slightly different than the way I did it, but it works!
